We made reservations cuz otherwise they seemed to be super full. They were also closed on Monday although the page says open.
The staff were great, tried their best to speak English and that was really appreciated.
Drinks were good as well, we missed having the sake though which was recommended.
For the food, we recommend the shashimi, it was delicious and very very fresh. The aubergine starter DengRaku was super delicious and one of my favorite dishes. The salmon teriyaki is also not to be missed!!
We recommend 8/10!
Great place! Tastes really authentic!
What a great experience!!!! It’s been a Long time i’ve been looking for an Izakaya restaurant. It’s little piece of Tokyo. The choice of the food is great from sushis to sashimis yakitori etc.. choice of the drinks real Japanese a recommande the sake yuzu.
Service is nice busy but well organized. I’m happy to find this kind of restaurants.
I will comeback for sure!!
On our way back home we had a stop over in Dijon arrived around 21:00. Looking for a place to eat found Akatsuku still open till 23:00 while other restaurants were closing. What a lucky person I am, this is by far one of the best Japanese restaurants I have visit till now. The food prepared with such delicate handling, the combination of herbs & spices all in perfection!
Obviously a family restaurant all family working together, you feel a warm welcome and hospitality in a cosy Japanese style restaurant( no worry you sit on a chair but you eat with chop sticks!)
For travellers to or around Dijon this is really a place to visit. Prices are friendly.
The food is good but the portion is small. I'm not full at all after a menu.
The service is nice, always checking on us.
Sashimi was good, katsudon was disappointing - doesn't taste like freshly prepared, egg was overcooked.
The sesame flavor ice-cream is the best 😋 it’s out of my expectations, I love the shrimp dumplings here , very tasty
